I waded through these many 'optimistic sellers' auctions recently...
There's always a few comical buggers with few clues what they're selling
I got my very tidy 2 owner 919 (2bros. Pipe otherwise OEM) with 19kms for $4.5k and only round the corner in Rotorua, so pretty happy.

Obviously. Gold Wings are fat ugly pigs at the best of times. When you try to make it anything other than what it is...you're really losing touch with reality.

Nothing wrong with a bit of weight if styled well.

I'd never buy another Triumph "special edition", and they are a fairly regular occurrence. Sure, they come with most of the accessory catalogue fitted as standard - for only a few thousand extra. When you go to trade though it's just another Triumph of that year, the extra $$$$ have magically evaporated.

Agree - it is just more desirable as a trade as it will move faster in the shop.

Best spend your bucks on a R spec - at least you get he fancy suspenders. However I have noticed in more and more magazine reviews the writers are questioning the cost of the R over the standard as the standard gear is more than most need on public roads (and more adjustable than most riders know what to do with).

The goodies I buy for my ride are that - for me. There is always a box of stock parts to put back on when selling. I have noticed people are generally more inclined to lean towards a nicely piped bike and dealers like them (like them more if you provide the stock ones too).

Not in the same league! I'd forgotten about that one - I think I had blanked it from my memory after seeing the welding on the inlet pipes .....
