James Bond rode one (Pierce Brosnan) so it has that going for it.

I seem to recall that those sat unloved in dealers until BMW made the price considerably more attractive. For BMW that's rare, freebies maybe, but they don't like dropping the price. Unlike say Blue Wing.

At the time boats and ships were first being called 'she', they were pretty much the only man made things carrying people around.

How then is it wrong for newer vehicles to be referred to thus?

People wonder why ships are referred to as "she" when the answer's obvious. As soon as they come in to port they head for the buoys, they often reach astonishing weights and density, they make one hell of a noise, a fortune is spent trying to make them look pretty and, without a man at the helm, they become an unpredictable death trap.


i also work with a lot of equipment, most I don't consider male/female -they are inanimate objects.
but a few of the larger ones definetly are females and crave my tender touch. They won't work for others, but when I appear quite often they will work flawlessly. Everyone has their own option.
