In other news, I offered the CB200 guy $2500 buy now (I know, I'm generous).

He has elected to let the auction run.

Looking at that you actually have to wonder if it did start out life as a "High rider" variant. A friend has one in his collection which has been changed to a roadster but he has the OE bits too.
Don't like the GS/GSX back wheel....Or much else for that matter.

You're thinking of Marty Dickerson, not Rollie Free.

The 70's Norton ads in the US mags got a lot of comment for the sexist content - but I'd never seen that pic, LOL
They'd have sold a lot more Commandos using that one.

I've got a 72 Roadster and they are a fun bike to ride, light, sound great, loadsa torque and smooth.

At $13K I think this one on TM would be a good buy as you can spend a lot of a 'do up"

Yeah, tank suggests that. I did see a full Hi Rider set of bodywork on TM for $750 a while back but hard to look like Peter Fonda....Captain England doesn't quite sound the same.

Would rather have the capri that's in the background.

I do like the engineering of the twin leading shoe front brake though, shiny linkages look cool.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987
