In any case, pretty much a big detraction on a custom bike I would have thought
Many/most "Custom Bikes" have a single (rider) seat. If you want (sometimes/maybe) the option of a passenger on your ride ... you must (by law) have footrests for the passenger. Some "micro pegs" off a trailie ... won't add much to the weight if a minimalist aim is wanted.

There may be some that relish the passenger seat on any CX ... but walking/hitching on anything but ... is usually the better option ...

This one made me laugh. Not especially at the bike but the comment about how he got it for his wife but " she has shown no interest whatsoever!"

    Edited to reflect reality

Especially given Honda has made of 100 million Supercubs
Considering they alone account for almost a third of the 300 million Hondas motorbikes ever made up to 2014, i would suggest you need to admit you are wrong ad move on.

Bull shit wrt CXs. Most factory customs had plenty of room for pillions.

90% of your list were Trail bikes ... and the rest a few scooters that ... apart from some Asian countries ... seldom carried passengers and were built on a budget.

Swing-arm mounted footrests for pillions were par for the course for them.

Draw up a list of road bikes over 350cc (with swing arm mounted footrests for the pillion) and come back to us.

And ask your mother to take your shovel off you ... the hole you've dug yourself into is quite deep enough.
