Pretty sure the Jones brought one in that Brent found somewhere in Asia.
Reasonably sure they never raced it - and like the H1R, it's gone overseas.

TZ500 is sitting in my mates garage. Was all lined up for a ride last December, but a last minute technical issue put paid to that. It's in very good hands.....

Edit: I also have a new boot of Brent on it at Pukekohe

It’s probably because I’m in it🤣. Fun day out. Trevor asked another mate and myself if we could help ride some of his bikes for some footage for the new R7 a Yamaha promo video . (They did two vids ) . I spent most of the day zooming around on his 1974 TZ750. I also rode his 1986 TZ250S but that didn’t end so well😩 . Crashed it at the chicane . Doh.

Auckland.......Overseas.......Much the same thing from down here. Bikes disappear and we don't see them again. Good that it's going to come out again.

Eleven likes? Tragic. I've flicked to Mat Oxley and asked him to give it a bump start. We'll see...

That R7 is $14500 which seems cheap. Presumably it needs at least a full system and chipped to reach its potential but the package looks nice. Light compared to some (they claim 188kg wet) but heavy in comparison to an RZ350 which would be around, what? - 165kg wet? All those extra spinny bits in the motor add a lot of weight and complication. Plus the stock exhaust with a cat and so forth is probably 8 kg.

nice looking wheels and brakes and boingy bits - though if you were racing one you'd upgrade.

And these were a completely cynical POS. I remember Mark Williams of Bike mag panning a one he was given to look after.
