There will be a number of bidders who had one when they were teenagers all those years ago who would like one back in their stable. Then the Honda collectors wanting to add to the fleet, or start a fleet for that matter.
Retro is in, and Honda's at top of the list for obvious reasons - reliable, parts are available and the starting money is not silly compared to say a Norton Commando or the 'good' year Bonnies.
I see on TM there are two unrestored BSA Bantams going for about $5k for the pair.
I posted those Bantams on this thread about a year ago and they ain't going anywhere.

I've gone back to early bikes I have owned and, whilst they seemed pretty outstanding in those days, it's all relative to what you are now used to.
Though the one thing I'd say about that Honda, is that always was a pretty light and nimble model. Most likely still good fun
Congrats to both the buyer and to the seller too.
This lives in my lounge now,every late 60's teenagers wet dream-am thinking of selling,any clues on $ value.
