Avengers are shit now but they were ok in their day
1976* United Kingdom Andrew Cowan Jim Scott Hillman Avenger
Rally of NZ winner.
Go figure
Good greif, three pages of people waxing lyrical about Hillmans. All I said is I'd rather have one than a smegging trike.
Anyway won't someone save the thread by posting some old TM shitter so we can continue to laugh at bearded hipsters that were trying to be wannabes but found out that they dinnawannabe?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Who is that masked man. He's dreamy.
Try this. For a kit project bike, this is more just a collection of manky parts

Next listing down, four grand for something with a Villiers engine. It might be old, but its not a classic.

This is a good starting point for a complete collection of every major British classic motorbike. You just might have to find a few separately. . . . and a few parts for this one.

This doesn't belong here, I just wanted to post it up as the antithesis of this thread subject matter. It's fukn cool, it is a classic, it was super ground breaking when launched.
The price is reasonable and the photos catalogue every bit of damage in an honest format.

Reckon this would be a great little bike for someone. Ohlins and cheap fun.

now that's where you're out of touch, blue smoke and pedal bikes have a cult following in some parts of the country, think this is top dollar but would tick a lot of boxes for some people, especially as they get older and it's about all they can ride to still keep their finger in the pie...

4500 for a bike with no NZ reg ever... Looks bloody nice but worth the dosh?

If he hadn't removed the TSS or Nourish 8V head from the auction I would consider that about the right value.
Shame its not a wideline frame though, also that 8 stud heads are not 9 stud heads.
Its also got the triumph/bsa 2LS conical hub (bowden cable brake) rather than the more sought after conventional linkage earlier hub.
They were pretty as a rear but not so sharp as a front.
