8000 for a nine year old orphan.
makes this at $8500 (asking) seem cheap.

The bastard that wrote all over the tank needs a kick in the balls.
Not sure that this fits the optimistic category but at $5300 is this good buying?
Low K's and in mint condition.

A bit on the high side - but comparable with this one ... with higher mileage

General rule, if it makes your little feller stand up, ask the price.
If the price doesn't make him sit down again that's good buying.
Personally I wouldn't pay more than 4500 - the cost of a chain and sprockets, a wof and 3 months rego.
But then I am a tight Bastard.
Then again if it made me stiffer I might be a bit more flexible in price as life is to short to sit around wishing I hadn't missed out.

They are awesome bikes, and are very under rated. I have sold two of them via TM with no reserve and on both occasions got somewhere between 3 and 3.5k, not saying I got what they were worth, but I did get what someone was prepared to pay. Both had kms that were at the higher end of 60.
I think $5,300 is slightly high.
I so agree. I sold my one at higher Kms but great order for $3500. I think that is the value of that one. At that kms the carbs often need a rebuild-ovalised emulsion tubes and worn needles $$$$$$$$$! Plus, chain and sprockets, and those 16 yr old shocks have most probably never been serviced$$$$$$! Great bikes however.
