I've owned for about 5 weeks. Ridden GG once and was flawless. Beta was cheaper and needed thing doing to it. And now I'm struggling to get it running right, its resisting. And I'm hardly a beginner in these matters.
Wanted to get a mate out on it tomorrow so we can ride both. More thought required. Problem is have a new neighbour haven't seen yet to say hi. Dont want to spend too much time running up driveway.

That sounds frustrating. I suggest you take a page out of 2Stroke Stuffing's book re neighbour. No point in setting a false precedent.
I'd appreciate a quick PM when you manage to get them both out. I really fancy that Beta for my style of riding, trying to keep up with young fullas ghosting 300 Enduros in the bush.
But a new GG is about $11'000...

I didn't mention that I have a 2021 Beta. Ok it's an Xtrainer, but with updated suspension it is better than good.

You can actually get a lot of bike for this money. Whilst everything is there, bar some sort of muffling and both sidecovers, restoration is going to be expensive due to rust. And you'd end up with something worth the current asking maybe.
