I had an L, they had different exhausts to improve ground clearance. It was a fun bike, more user friendly than the Kawi triples and fast enough.

A friend had a T500 with the drum brake. Yes, they stopped well if it was set up right but it didn't stay that way for long.

The 200 were pretty well balanced, not rip ya arms out ,open country, but decent on the twisties. Far better than some of their parts
I Had a XR200RD. Great little bike, pretty sure Honda nabbed the suspension springs from bic pens.

Those tie rods to the head make me think otherwise.

I think he's ridden it once briefly and thought, holy hell this thing is uncontrollable and uncomfortable in equal measures.
I built an air cooled kx500 engined rgv250 framed F3 bike, well rather Damon of cycleworks fame built it for me. It needed a mild steel engine cradle due to vibration. The original alloy one did not even last 3 laps of Manfield before cracking lol
I took it to a round of the nats at Ruapuna, did poorly during Friday practice due to jetting issues. my mate Richard built an air box for it on the Friday night, and I put in the 2nd fastest time after Tony McMurdo on the Saturday, then lost 3rd gear due to a bent selector fork. After that I ran out of money, which was a shame as that bike showed real potential.
