they weren't a model sold in nz new from memrory and most people who want old bikes have a connection to them.

on the plus side cheap rego so the savings in rego what with it going up soon will pay for itself in maybe ten years or so.

Agreed re the connection. Or the lust back in the day.
Or just being so damn Quirky (only explanation of my Stinger, it's as old as I am).

I used to buy old Cycle magazines 2nd hand so schooled up on mercan market bikes more than was healthy. But they did strip and photograph the engines. I assume not on test bikes, but importer training props. Sure looked like it though, was impressive.

Just glad I didn't start buying SleasyRider. My adolescent mind might have taken a liking for PigIrontm steeds and tattoo'd wimmin objects.

You want the motor for some two stroke shenanagins, and I want the running gear. Front end complete, rear wheel complete with brake m/c.

    Why?

Because this is the only Harley I want:

Reading the spiel with that, I'm glad they left the XRTT alone. Probably worth shedloads more than the custom.

LAMs approved ? I don't fucking think so, would also need cert if it was going to go on the road as do a lot of modified bikes that are advertised

I don't understand why you would base your project build powered by a DT175 motor. It was never a good motor to start with. Apart from being totally gutless. No engineering is going to change that . 10k ?

    Good luck .
