I had one when I was at Uni, it was stolen just before I finished my course. Still pissed off, a great bike. Much more enjoyable than the GS550E I eventually bought to replace it after I started work.

I'd look for the L model as they had a more tucked in exhaust and didn't scrape as easily. But much as I'd like another, I'm sure it would be a disappointment to ride one again.

I had a GS550. It was a capable motorcycle and glad it wasn't a CB550 for example. But the love ended there. After a Katana 750 (original) I had a CBX550 which was better than either of them. An the RZ '88 eclipsed them all by a margin.

I brought a GS550EX new, 36000lm in 18 months, was a great bike but off an ZR250 as pretty much my road bike anything would have been, then got a new GPZ550 unitrak.

I came from a TT500. That was humorous, but Trials Universals on the road or at least the wet were a bit dodge. Having said that, 3 bikes back was an XR250A on absolute worn out knobblies, how I never crashed that I don't know.

Yeah I imagine the end product could be good but depends on geometry, by the sounds it isn't a lashup. It's a pity it sounds like it never really got finished like many projects, but that could just be the current owner isn't describing very much. LVV is critical.

Or in fact washing the bike properly. There's dust all over the frickin' wheels. Since he took that photo in April and today it has done 125 km. Needs to hand in the motorcycling card.

That does have very "Bevel Ducati" vibes in the front end. Its a cool bike though.

However I'm also considering shedding one of the fleet, and don't like the idea of some fuckwit seeing how fast it goes in first gear on a residential street straight into the side of nana's suzuki swift, so there is the quandary.

Anyway, 'tis a nice looking bike, the optimistic bit is finding someone with money to buy it in the current cost of living crisis.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

i think a lot of people dont know how to write an advert, so revert to cliches like that, barn find, only ridden on sundays. etc.
look at how many can't even think to put whether a bike is regoed or even in the system.
