I'm assuming that you don't mean to besmirch the CX500 Custom. It's in the name.

Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
A Classic is when your mate hits on some chick at the bar but she turns around and it's his sister.
A Vintage has something to do with wine, but in most households it's drunk within 24hr of purchase.
But I stock up when there's specials so it could be weeks, or up to 2 weeks old.
Glad to sort that out for you.

To me, two drum brakes means classic, I asked a mate 20 odd years my junior, what he thought denotes classic, he said anything air cooled. If I asked my dad he may say anything with leather belt drive.
Classic is something you remember being modern in your lifetime, vintage is something that was old when you were born.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
I owned that bike for a year or so . An older gentle man bought it ex Japan with about 7000 km on the clock in 2004 . I picked it up in 2016 with only extra 2000 km!! All original, a couple of small cracks on the fairing. A stonker of a bike goes fast , stops better, New tyres handled great. Classic 80's . I Got it cause i thought I might get the wife on the back. We did she did but not really a 2 up cruiser . Sold it to guy in south island, he classic rac2d it may be once, then he tried to sell it still with racing bottles etc on it. The guy selling it now is in ak not as in good as nic as when I had it but aside from a few laps a genuine bike.

Can you imagine dropping this much on a suburban hack? Who wouldn't just buy a car if cheap transport was what you desired and this is the alternative instead of being $400?

And this is a fair price to pay for a gorgeous little bike if they've restored it.
Instead of fuking wrecking it.

The Cali will be nice when it's done. No postwar Sunbeam is worth that much. The old man - qualified enginer - had one for as long as it took to sort the problems. Then got shot of it saying, yes, it was as bad as reputation said. Ran a 250 BMW for years - faster and better handling than the Sunbeam.
Optimistic HP - in Q&A

Geebuz I never realised they were so mindbending powerful. I'd have said 100hp perhaps.
Edit, went looking. Maybe 120 std.

Apparently they are funny to ride, but, like, just down the road and back.
