    Move quickly!

Closes Monday. Reserve not met but could be close. Your chance to own an icon that nobody really has heard of, but that's not important right now (I wanted one of these as a mate had one when I was 16).

Probably could use a wipe over with a rag to bring it back to sparkly condition .

I would buy one of them, just because it's a 440 and nobody else ever made one, I'm odd like that which explains why there's also been a CB360 and XS360 in my past. Wonder what the Honda equivalent is?

Anyway, worth more than absolutely nothing with rego on hold, but looks like another listing that has one zero too many.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

Honda did the 450 plus the real equivalent would be the crappy 400 twin. Which they made even worse with an automatic version.

The Kawa 440 is the direct ancestor of the EX/GPZ500. Same bottom end layout as i found when developing the 500's for F3
But yes, way overpriced even though not a lot came here.

And it's all there. But all in need of restoration. Or replacing, like the tank.

Oh fuk off. It's not even in pristine condition and you want $25k for it?

    https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/m...ing/4652495187

As justification he try to claim they are an investment as Lloyd's suggests only a bit less?!? Not negotiable. Yeah? Well I know of a $40k Mack IV on tradeMe so I think it will sell just as quickly.

Oddly in the photos he has several more bikes. Is he trying to cheap out on listing them, despite wanting moon beams?? Showing off? One of them is an actual Good condition TT500, a later model like I had, but in attractive orange.

But they weren't the Game changer. The XR was. And even then, only compared to other 4 strokes. In competition the 250 2 strokes roasted them, let alone the 490s etc.

Dealer, so there's that. This strikes me as cool and not bad buying. You'd have to want one of course, same as the TT500. I rode a mates XT500 back in the day when I had my TS125. It was a bit different from the TS.... https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/c...ing/4680861139

edit: also, this Yamaha 500 is only $7500! https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/m...ing/4656049629

Erm first link is to a generic mazda ute. Is there something you want to tell us?

I rode to a mates to show off my tuff TT500. He had just bought an XR500. Had a ride on the road. My TT was pretty average in comparison.
Bear in mind at 18 or 19 on suburban roads these were beasts.

Then I took my TT on the motorway. Something I rarely did then. Hmm. Actually a bit anemic. Low gearing made them awesome in suberbia.

Oh alright. Here's my favourite TT500 story . Bought it on a Sunday. Went to show it off at young lass place. Stayed to watch the Sunday Horrors. Which were a thing back then. No offer, (or chance really) of staying the night.

Rode off in a blaze of glory. Just down the hill. Bububa. Changed to reserve. Erm, What the?

TT just has On/Off. Competition bike.

Kawharahara (sp) so miles from anywhere. Footpath is gravel by railway. Push to next gas station.

Which is close on a Sunday night

Finally arrive at CBD Shell on the Quay.

    Can barely talk.

Kick, kick, kick. Wait. Gas gets through and finally away.
