Got the xr1000 today...and your not wrong about the lack of wind noise...and I have also realised that "FARK" my bike is loud...no wonder people always look at me when riding...and here I was thinking I was just a cool arse mother f**k*r...Originally Posted by Big Dave

I've got one of those and didn't consider it *that* quiet. I do wear plugs when out of town but haven't added the extra bits around the bottom of the helmet as I can't hear the engine anyway. When it comes to buying a lid, i am firm beliver in the church of 'money should be no object', safety first then comfort lastly looks. i've used arai for ever and they are the biz, shoei are great. but won't fit every shape head. Try 'em on, its the only answer.
