The way the police 'work'/DON'T in NZ, the same needs to happen here. Local crime really becomes a non event if you have to ring cops after 4pm, so anything goes to protect your property and life. The police force in NZ is also corrupt, dysfunctional and racist.

No, it really isn't. Not as an institution. It does have its issues, as all bureaucracies do, and there are some utter cunts who are pleecemin. Just like there are some utter cunts who are lawyers (I can give you a list), and plumbers and IRD workers and WINZ employees and Members of Parliament.

It does have fairly robust complaints practices however, and most peoples interactions with them most of the time are positive. I personally do not agree with the mania about speeding and some road safety stuff, and of course what I came into my office to do was to write a cheque to them for $30 for a fucking speed camera (55 in a 50 - really? fucks sake) but of course that is a sleeping policeman not an actual policeman.

You making blanket statements like that? Well, son, you're just wrong. Pull your head in.

edit. And just to try and bring it back on track to the OP and the news article, the chaos in Mexico has been caused fairly and squarely by the US and its "war on drugs": the reason that the ordinary people have formed these autodefensas is because the drug cartels OWN the police lock stock and barrell. I can't find the source but last year I read a story about a police SWAT team moonlighting as enforcers for drug cartel A against drug cartel B. Some seriously fucked up shit. You sitting in NZ, which is one of the safest and arguably (the UN says so) the LEAST corrupt country in the world making blanket stupid statements like that is lame as fuck.

Nuke 'em... or remove the financial system. Either way noone will be buying drugs and there will be no need to terrorise people and fight over land. Blaming the US is just silly.

Go on BestGore and look up "Mundonarco". There's plenty of Mexican action over there.

The plane that binned it appears to be a C210M

The USA did start the whole war on drugs. The vast majority of violent crime in Mexico is drug related, not just because cunts are running around high on P, but because of the drug trade. Just check out el blog del narco.

DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

So Mexico doesn't have its own laws then? I'm surprised there aren't more nuclear powered ships in NZ harbours.
