    Yes, but not from major manufacturers. Aprilia, Triumph, and MV and the earlier incarnation of Triumph/BSA and also MV Agusta are all small beans in manufacturing terms compared to the current iteration of Nissan.

    A small company out of Japan has made Triples for motorsport before too...



    I think they called themselves Honda. You might have heard of them?

    No they weren't, they had half the American market by that stage, and were only a couple of years away from their first F1 championship (although admittedly that is on the car side).
