Where to go & what to see?

    Yo ereybody!!
Maybe jumping the gun slight bit here as haven't actually got my paws on a bike yet, but look like I may be sorted in a day or 2.
So at the risk of tempting fate, any suggestions of best stuff to visit are welcome. Also if anyone has locations of some good less revelled roads or off road routes to share......really love those!!!

And I'm happy to accept all offers of free grub or sofas for a night.... Defo would love to meet a few bikers along the way, share a few stories and a scoop or 2.....please say hi!

Well as it happens I've just got back from a circuit of the south Island & there's a few recommendations I can give you. The Queen Charlotte drive from Picton to Nelson is a must do & if you can carry on to Golden bay as the Takaka valley/hill highway is something else. The roads & views are unbelievable, it's left-right-left flicks all the way, I did it in torrential rain & I still enjoyed it. On the way down from Hokitika stop at Ross. There's a cafe there & the guy who owns it has a ridiculous amount of really nice classic bikes stashed away in the back. You'll have to be nice if you want to see them though (There's a 3 BSA Rocket 3's one of which is a Hurricane for christ's sake!
There's so many fun roads to be had it's hard to pick but the road from the coast to Wanaka & then from Wanaka to Queenstown is definitely up there. I also liked the scenic southern coastal road from Balclutha to Invercargill, nice & twisty with lovely views. Finally the route from Queenstown to Dunedin BUT you have to go via Ranfurly & Middlemarch to really appreciate the scenery.
There's the obvious things to do like the Hayes & sons hardware store in Invercargill (Motorcycle & car museum & HUUUUGE hardware store). The helicopter ride to the glaciers from Fox's Glacier, do the the 2 glacier trip it's worth the money honestly!

I'm sure the locals here on KB will give you more info, such as Milford Sound, but only do that one in the dry, trust me it sucks in the rain!
Hope you have a great trip stayfoolish

It's kinda hard to go wrong in New Zealand. We enjoyed New Chums Beach in the Coromandel (good riding) .... Abel Tasman National park in the South Island..... and many more places.
