Don't forget Vince Sharp on a CBX/6 ... apparently some of the CBX problems were from fitting CB oil filters,the CBX item was designed for more flow and pressure it was said.............. The 78 Castrol Six Hour should have been a CBX shoe in but it all went a bit pear shaped.....Knight/Keyes bike finished 20th after having the cam cover gasket suck in 15 minutes in to the race..the Glen Flack/Mick O'Brien bike was dropped and puntured the engine cases..the Graeme Crosby/Hatton bike was was said to have been having overheating partial seizures so was out in 20 laps,Crosby had qualified at 58.1 seconds,a full 1 second quicker than the 77 pole ......Mick Cole/Dennis Neill were the sole surviver coming home in 3rd after a 4 minute 10 second tyre change when running 6th pushed them back ......... Yamaha first home with the Warrian/Kelly Ducati SS900 second..............It was also the race Mike Hailwood rode in on another SS900 with Jim Scaysbrook.Originally Posted by LB
