    Question Biketranz

I see a few Kiwibikers have used Biketranz and they appear to do a good job. Can anyone tell me where they are actually based and do they charge before delivery or when they deliver the bike to you? I'm just trying to work out whether to get a bike sent down to Oamaru from the North Island or wait till something I like comes up that is more accessible. There is just what I want up for sale now but adding $350 cartage to down here sort of takes the shine of it. Any opinions?

To be honest, I wasn't impressed with them when I was trying to get my last bike down to Welly to trade in on the new beast. They let me down twice and I ended up having to ride it down instead.

Took 3 weeks+ to get a bike Welly to Chch, they had a few excuses but I wouldn't use them again unless I had no choice

For $350 you could probably fly up and ride it back

My mother is having a scooter transported down by them from Auckland to Christchurch ($300). The process started on the 8th of August and the bike was only picked up on last thursday and will arrive sometime this week (or year). They have only had excuse after excuse for when they would be able to pick it up and have taken far too long.

Go for either Mana or Conroy furniture removals, both will be similar price or cheaper but also much faster.

I am having a bike delivered to Thames from Kaikoura this Wednesday...I can't tell you how it went yet, but I can say they have been good to communicate with and have offered to store the bike for a few days till I am ready to receive...seems all good to me.

Nothing but good things to say about Biketranz for me I've shifted 4 with them now and I'll be doing my next 4 with them.

I have seen and heard too many bad things about Biketranz to trust them. No amount of discussion will convince me otherwise
