    Helmet Prices In AUS

Im off to Aus again soon. I was thinking of purchasing a new helmet, so the obvious question. Are they cheaper in Aus or here? Any regulations that differ.
I was looking at a Shark RSF2 Race.

    In my experience...

they're roughly the same price once you've done the currency conversion. Depending on where exactly you're going in Oz, there are a number of major dealers around who have very large and varying stocks. If you're in Canberra then you want to go to either Canberra Motorcycle Centre in Fyshwyck or Action Motorcycles in Mitchell. If in Sydney you want to go to any of the major dealers but I know Bike Biz have a really good range. In melbourne you'll just want to walk around Elizabeth Street as mentioned above, and I've not been to Brissie so can't advise you there.

    Good luck

The helmet duty thing is reasonably recent.

But as for other gear - with Rjays stuff eg - my leather pants were 4 hundy here and same things are $A165 at MCA in Parramatta.

When we go home to see the folks we always head out to Church St and have a shop.

I brought my last helmet in Oz - simply because there is a MUCH bigger range of helmets at the mid to high price end of the market.
My AGV was $550 less the GST (claim it back at the airport in Oz and forget to declare it at this end) and wasn't available here in NZ. That was 5 years ago.

Last year we couldn't find what we were looking for so we'll try again this October

lolol, no I think I can manage that myself. I go to Aus on a reg basis. I was in Melborne last week. I went up Elizabeth street. But wasnt looking at helmets. got a pair of JR riding jeans. So this trip I was thinking maybe have a look at helmets. But Im thinking they maybe cheaper here.
