Full bike test in Penrose, Auckland

Sat my full test yesterday in Penrose and passed. The instructor was a nice guy and explained everything very clearly to me.
    Things we did were:
*Checked my bike; warrant, rego, indicators, lights, horn.
*Had a once over with my gear (make sure you wear a high vis vest. Plus this kept the radio in close to my chest, with the lanyard around my neck).
*Gave me a radio (this was o.k, but I made life easier buy putting an ear plug in the other ear).
*Told me the instructions (turn left or right etc) and do not go over the speed limit. Also be aware of your road position and following distances.
*We then headed off around the back streets of Penrose, lots of give way signs and the odd stop.
*One U turn in a cul de sac and then just general riding.
*Test lasted about 20mins and was fairly straight forward.

I was paranoid about the slow speed u turns and had been practicing hard in carparks over the last few weekends. This makes all the difference - if you do the practice you will be fine. I also did a pro-rider course last year (for novice riders) down south (Bombays). I would highly recommend this for any rider as they give you some good tips on your riding style

Now I have to save some pennies and get a bigger bike!

Well done that rider, and what ol Anti said is 100% on the money, there is no substitute for time on seat!

    Awesome! Congrats. :

I see you have a Inazuma. How do you like it (aside of that it is too slow for you now)?
It used to be on my List before I got the Spada.

Have fun with the TradeMe stalking

I think the bike is good for a newbie rider and it's fast enough around town. Plus it's a good size (pretty big for a 250cc), and cheap to buy and run. On the down side the acceleration is a little slow, but that's not a bad thing for a newbie. Overall I would recommend this bike for a newbie or if you want a cheap commuter that looks and feels a little bigger.

Yep, it's on Trade Me, so let the fun begin
