    Kick stand for a KX65

Sick of picking up boys KX65 so I decided to add a kick stand as we only do trail rides... parts are from a KX60.
Seen it done on the net but they added an extra plate which they bolted the kick stand to.

Me being lazy just weld the whole thing to the frame, result is the same.
Time to fit the kick stand.... 15min (only one beer)

    end result:

I purchased the bolt on plate, kick stand, spring and bolt from a KX60. Then bolt them together and weld them to the frame. The plate hangs lower than the frame and fits quite nicely. No grinding just hold tack, adjust, weld, paint and done.

I removed the paint before welding and managed to weld both side without pulling anything apart.

Very expensive bike stand was needed...

Don't look to close.. paint is a wonder full thing. Bit like clothes even makes fat chicks look OK from a distance.

This is the bracket I welded on after filling in the two holes with weld and grinding them flat.

    close up.

Easy as and works a treat.

To be fair I dumped the kickstand on my KDX. Got sick of it rattling around.

You should get a patent on that stand though......

    Trees are for burning.

When you are 10yrs old you spend quite a lot of time doing the smaller loops and every time you stop the bike ends up on the ground.
Best thing I have done to the bike so far.

Even added a kick stand to my KX250, bolt on type as it end up on the ground every time a kid falls off.

    We must be soft...
