well really i guess with plastic welding if you mean biz to do it very good on the plus side like new . down side on cosmetic
side it need re painting or new stickers if you can get them u might not worry just have painted . my vfr 750 body work is pretty
had it wel mostlly the slots and little fixtures hold erverthing well toghter but mine was car on bike damage.
tell u what i did was i used Uho glue got recommended it from mitre ten as best plastic glue i found better than those twin mixture
sollutions and cheaper to boot.
But thats what used on cbr 900rr back seat farings . u have to hold the item and sand ony jaged bits if any make sure goes toghter
if you want tidy job.
I fixed two front mudguards with soldiering iron u hold it toghter in right shape i used strong tape on outside
And then on under side u melt with fine tip electric soldering iron from jay car ot such place . melt side to acroos
the split starting at the where you want to start near the edge is good like a stichs in a cute leave a good gap so dont heat break the
first one . then just work you way along. what you should do is thenwhen held toghter strongly is with broken piece
is melt channel along the crack say 20 mm at a time alow to cool . then get your spare piece plastic .
hold it like welding rod melt yhe end into the grovve to fill (the plascti needs to be same type as your faring there have numbers
the you tube video i watched he like to stich both sides but i didnt as didnt want to been seen fromtop side.
beacause then have sand and paint it that area . well whole lot if you wanted to match it.
then you have sand back prime and then top coat it .
I found if the top faring around headlight it under bit stress i say get plastic welded in saying that i did and guy exellent work.
looks fantasic but one small section that had whole lots holes for looks (cbr 900rr ) it snaped when bumped it.
so insteed taking it back i just glued it and held fine since .
where face mask as fumes are bit nasty of melting plastic id say not the best for you.
also if you make mess of it it may make going to platic welder he may look at say holy crap . when looked at
unm mess made my top faring on vfr 750 as tyed joining bit that hand alot load on it and didnt hold.
but told me still look fixing it up but since brought second hand bits of ebay
but anything that just sitting there be fine to fix . if you not cofident check on you tube videos .
i add picture my mudguards . easist whould be try the glue on the inside .
you can always fix with soldiering iron next if you want better finish. i think got pics on my
blog on here i got add alot more what doing with the vfr 750 farings brought fiaring bolt kit from ebay just havent had time
and wating on 3 out four faring sections to arrive but going look great when finished it .
dont be scared to try it yourself i no exp whatsoever .
or find good plastic welder that works ate good price but found it usually $100 $150 per piece but it be done right.
just make sure you ready to have time to take apart not hard so you dont end up doing half pie job and loosing bits like i did
when my mid sections blew of as it had damged or missing on section of clips to hold all snug .
