What narrow trail bike handlebars are there?

Im after some narrow bars to try on my KDX. Is there a brand that makes some? Shops ive been to have wide ones, I realize that because its what most want.

    How narrow are you thinking?

Bar cutting is common in the PNW and Canada due to dense forest, perhaps looking on their equivalent of KB could be worthwhile.
we may just go where no ones been

Not sure at this stage. Today the forks come off the bike so I cant get some work done and fit KX125 forks. Ive got surgery in a week so getting it back together will be a project for when I cant ride.

I went narrower on my road bike with great results. Have done the same on my MTB with the same results. I want to try it on the KDX also. Reason behind all this is I have a tremor and wider bars increase its effect. Narrow bars reduce it.

Maybe try road bends - they will be narrower. The Renthal series of low, ultra low, superbike etc can have a brace bolted on.

Also the quad bike bars may be narrower - check the 'brand' name websites as they have dimensions noted.

quad bike bars (like 85 bars) are narrower but also much higher, road bike bars tend to have alot of sweep, which does not help standing which is needed on dirtbikes,

you can cut your own bars down as much as you can, as long as you can fit your levers on, we sometimes used to cut full size bars down to 85cc width for smaller kids,

Try a set of 85/65 bars first for size, you gotta be aware it might make the bike unstable at speed esp when slowing down in sand, you have less leverage to correct mistakes.

cutting standard 7/8" bars is ok, but fat bars will limit you as the smaller diameter doesn't extend very far beyond enough to take a standard grip and lever perch
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I have to find my bars. Doh. Lost them in my shed. But I just remembered some from my old bike which I may try the cut it down idea.

Yes I know I will have less leverage but its worth a crack.

I've got a slightly bent set of 7/8" standard bars of the KLR if you want them. They're steel so should be ok to straighten.

They are not cheap, but Faast Flexx bars can go pretty narrow. Shane Watts uses them & reckons they help with wrist issues as well.

Thanks Mate but I just found a pair of MX bars i forgot I had which may cut down well. They were on a road bike so didnt think of them.

No they are not cheap. Reminds me of the old Girvn MTB stems.

I got all keen reading enduro stuff and cut bars down heaps to get through trees supposedly and cause I'm 5'8. Had a reality check and went back to sensible width. Much easier
Save up for a steering damper? I have a motosportz one and like it.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
