    Changng ends

Mstrs has decided that its time I got off the pillion seat and on to my own bike- the rising cost of filling the V6 cage for the daily commute (about 8ks round trip) is certainly influencing his thinking there. I have to confess to having a few nerves about it -don't want teenage son laughing at me for a start- and I haven't ridden for about 15 years and then I only rode infrequently for about a year. He is looking at a Kawasaki Eliminator 250 inline twin. Reason being low seat height and general ease of riding for a rusty old nana like me. Whaddya all think? Is that the best option or should i be looking at something else?

Sounds good to me, but I'm not the best person to answer this question, no doubt the experts will soon be telling you what's the best. But soon enough your confidence will return in full force and you'll be after something a bit bigger, maybe, who knows. Good luck anyway.

Did think that if my confidence returned in bucket loads (I wish!) it wouldn't matter as yungun is 14 and 1/2 and i will be able to hand it on down to him in a few months

Eliminators are fucken cool. But get a 900 or the extra rare 1000cc. Oh whoops, you're not allowed.

And tell the boy if he laughs, we'll make public his interesting night spent with Deano, Hayden and the fish.

Ummmm, dude. We've got fish. There was a tank full of the critters right outside your room.

Quite frankly, I'd be more concerned about Deano. Did you see the state of the wheels that guy's got?

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Cool

Buy a Virago 250 cruiser.... they are real cool to ride....

I rode mine from Ak to Hastings on a friday at the end of April....
and rode it back up to Auckland on the Sunday....
    Mine went real great.................

They are also great for around town as well....
Great machines to learn on... easy to handle....

Had mine for just over 5 years and love to ride my bike.

To get this thread back on line.....I thought that a cruiser-style bike would be best for my dear one & the Eliminator just sort of raised it's head & waved at me. I know little about them but what I have read sounds OK.
