107kph (125 on wonky speedo) on the canterbury planes or the max speed I can get the bike to when wind/mountains slow the 150cc down to below that. But most of the time the speed is determined by the cage in front.

At least it didnt cost you $20,000 for a new engine like the dude in the RS Cosworth that selected R for racing when he blew thru the beam at that speed and went searching for another gear...NOBODY TOLD HIM THAT TAXIS DONT DO MUCH OVER 210 (what helen? yes 130 thats right, I didnt notice its soooo quiet in here YEAH RIGHT!!!)

Well that is something of a state of grace...

Speaking entirely hypothetically of course, on a naked bike a continuous cruise at more than 130 KPH or so is overly tiring on a trip. On a BMW RS (or similar) wind pressure is not really a factor so you do need to read the speedo more frequently.

Many litre bikes reach 16o KPH or so while passing a truck and trailer unit. The LTSA would probably suggest we should stick to 100KPH, but then again that may go some way to explaining the high number of head-ons currently happening in this country.

Better watch out cowboy, another 25kmph over and you could lose that licence in future!

As for me, I'd rather not incriminate myself on a public forum. Come out and ride with me and you'll find out.

How fast? How fast?? Well going fast is all a bit over rated really... That's why I've gone down to a wee lil 125cc now.

All you speeders out there, don't you know speeding is bad? When you overtake a SUV full of kids at the back, do you ever stop to think about what kind of example you are setting for them?.. NO, you don't do you?! For god sakes, will someone think of the children?!
