    This made me cringe

This biker made me cringe ...... traffic was flowing at 80km/h and he lane split through them at speed ..... out of sight of the camera shot he continued through the lines .... I was waiting for the carnage but he got away with it.

I may have missed something but you could have driven a bus through there and still not touched the sides!!!
Personally I never split traffic faster than 104kph else I'll get a ticket but here in Wellington it gets tight at times

Yeah rustic, the first gap maybe a bus, but it is still illegal to do what this rider did in moving traffic and given that it was at more than or thereabouts 80 Kph, it isn't OK to split between lanes between cars.
Around them with use of indicators I don't have a problem with.

See it up here everyday Kev. Not only making more car drivers pissed at all of us but not helping the stats if they do get clobbered, at these speeds it's pretty much a dead cert someone is going to die.

He overtook on the left of the vehicles on the rightmost lane, pure and simple. I got fined $40 and lost demerits for doing it in 1981 so I'm an expert on the subject.

I wouldn't do shit like that. You never know when some fuckwit is going to change lane without indicating or looking where they're going.

The split was well timed, as neither vehicle could do anything stupid, as they were side by side. But I'd agree that he was going a shade too fast to be safe and made himself quite vulnerable to unpredictable actions of others.

Not much of a speed differential and yes, you could have got a bus through there. Not sure why you have your knickers in a twist really, although seeing as you were being overtaken and undertaken at the same time perhaps you were the cause of it for not keeping left?

Not interested, no wheelie was involved.

It wasn't that tight. If it was he would have popped the front wheel up

If we see a car dodging & weaving through traffic , cutting lanes & trying to beat the flow we castigate him as being a total muppet.
Obviously motorcyclists are different , only we are capable of such amazing feats of daring & skill.

For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
