As for our sale, we have a lot of stuff left and the gore-tex items on sale are cheap for the quality you are getting.

Apologies if you feel the website is unsatisfactory, I will pass your comments on to the website development side of things.
How about things you don't stock but can order?
Went in looking for new track boots for my other half only to be told sidi don't come in smaller sizes, found out later that sidi do the ladies boots and are imported by Dabi but had already purchased other boots.

Just for clarity I have purchased all my gear for Motormail and it is the first place i go when needing new gear.

how the hell do you know when I turned up? I tried to buy the item in question on Saturday morning. I made the comment here today. It was an observation not a complaint.

Went into Motomail last week to look at a jacket that was on special, turns out I'm scrawnier than I thought and they didn't have a small enough size, so I ordered the smaller size off their website, couple of days later and I'm rocking my new leather jacket. So it worked out for me (quite pleased it's still the same price now.)

Got my pants from there over a year ago and a while back a back protector. I got a jacket (Rev'it) but the jacket wouldn't zip to my pants. Motomail gave me a connecting zip for nothing, even though I didn't buy the jacket from them. New helmet time soon and I know where I'll be going.

If the supplier has them then we can get them, in fact even if the supplier doesn't have them we can usually (hopefully) indent order them from overseas, it just takes a long while to get to us.

thank you D for sorting through what I needed, what was in stock and being a generally good guy. Looking forward to the jacket.

But how do we know we can get them if the sales staff don't either, or what they are called?

My partners feet 38-39 (depending on boot) we were told that Sidi don't come in this size.
    but,
    SIDI VORTICE size 39-48,
    SIDI VERTIGO size 37-50,
    SIDI VERTIGO LEI size 37-43.

All available from Dabi (i found this out a week later while buying an ezyup).

This is not a gripe, ok maybe it is, but if you had them on your web site we would know what we could get even if it is not in stock.

Righto, so, in theory, yes all available from Darbi, why the salesperson here would have told you not available is it would take 3-4 months to indent an order, having just gotten off the phone with them, the Vortice does NOT come in 39, 40, 41 or 42. Only 43 and up is what darbi brings in, not to say it is not in those sizes overseas, they just don't bring those into the country. Darbi is no longer bringing in the Vertigo's in those smaller sizes and LEI can be brought in but it is a 3-4 month wait. This info is from the Supplier. SO whoever you spoke to in effect was working off the basis that 3-4 months is too long a wait. What I would have told you though is there are options with the A star Stella SMX-5, which come in tiny sizes as well. Again, not a lot in stock so would have to be indented.

Not available is different to it takes 3-4 months.

just because dabi doesn't bring them in doesn't mean the don't come in those sizes.

But 3-4 months and you wonder why people buy from overseas websites and have them in a week, that is just a pathetic time time wait, I can import full cranes in a quicker time frame.

If you have to indent the stella's what is the difference, why weren't we given this option with the Sidi's (the boots we wanted)?

Look i like your shop, you asked for feed back, I have given you some, choose to do with it what you like.

We have the same, you order 6 months in advance. If you try to order one offs it will go into a production que unless sitting at the factory. The big overseas shops can order a lot more than what is needed for all of NZ. So the reality is our size works against us in this regard. Is what it is.

I use a hybrid system, if what I wants here I buy it. If not then I import it.

I'm not sure why you weren't given that option, and I have raised it with my co-workers. As for the 3-4 month wait, we get frustrated by that too, remember it is the supplier that gives us the time frame, I do try my best to find alternative solutions i.e. other items that we can get in quicker or are already here. It helps keep business in NZ which in turn helps me pay my bills and put food on the table.

I'm glad you like the shop and I am sorry that you were disappointed this time, we do appreciate feedback and I pass it all on up the chain to the owner/manager. If you do need help and information for specialist items or anything else gear related, get in touch with me, I'll do my best to find a solution.

Most likely the importer sea freights, while your package is air freight. Helps importer try to keep cost down (because air is uneconomic in large quantities) but it slows things down.

Yeah same experience here - absolutely no stock available of any sale items that I looked at.

edit: Just figured it out. Looking for a jacket for my missus, but they've only got jackets for fat ladies left.

The website frustrated me for sure. I made the observation on here and got a bit of a slagging. Seems that there is always someone waiting to tell you how dumb you are here on KB. Its ok though, they don't need to have all the facts before they are in a position to pass judgment.

    Just to bring balance

    1. I had shopped online with Motomail before and was happy.
    2. I like online shopping as I can browse and shop anytime I like
    3. I rang the shop and got no joy with what I wanted
    4. After reporting this I was urged by the OP to ring, ask for him personally and he could try and sort me out.
    5. I did, I was offered an alternative which was found when he physically looked through stock
    6. I was promised delivery on Wednesday (48 hours after transaction)
    7. Delivery took place today,Tuesday (24 hours after transaction)
    8. I am happy.
