Mate, so are you telling me that your scooter does a 9 second quarter?
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

The reason a 180cc scooter can take out a thou on the 1/8th mile and maby the 1/4 mile is because its auto no clutch you just cant drop it fast enough unless you have wheelie bars I suppose, a rolling start scooter wont stand a chance but in europe the same setup as he has are beating the 250cc gp bikes on tracks, although his is a little diffrent and is set up mostly for drag racing. I love scooters no 2 ways about it I still like bikes but scooters are where it is at for me.
R1 aaron can you take me for a ride next time your in auckland or im down there?
for sure, just so u know my bike duz 0-100 in 2.97seconds and will do 147kph in first gear, and depending wot you weigh i can pop the front wheel up with a pillion at around 190kph let me know when u are down nxt..

I remember reading that certian scooters were quicker to 50 kmh than an F1 Car. Also Remember seeing a 650 cc scooter dealing to a sportsbike at the traffic lights Italy and the R1 owner was trying big time.
200 meters could be close , I'd expect 440 meters would be a sports bike.

Well when you have 40-50hp at the wheel its not huge amounts, but when thats after you put it through a automatic gear box, its quite a lot and when you bike weights 40kgs its alot of hp, You just can drop the clutch fast enough, I saying that last thread about scooters wasnt this debate something to do with why you fellas have to own a thou?

No. I wouldn't want to be seen on anything that you have to dress up like a tube of toothpaste to ride.
