Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes
Remember them when they came out.....
The CB350 was a far better bike, in fact the CB400/4 was way better as a machine. IF my fading memory of them is correct they did have a posibility if slack for the camchain to eat it's way out of the barrels.
IF I was to opt for a 350-400cc other than an RD? I'd pick a Suzuki 380, CB350, or kwaka 400/3 or the CB350 or 400/4

I owned one back in the late 80's, never a stunning bit of machinery but I had plenty of fun on the thing, I'd own another one just for shits and giggles.
Wouldn't the kickstart normally operate on the outside of the clutch housing? In which case if it's turning the gearbox but not the crank then it'd be a primary drive or crankshaft problem. I'd be starting there before I looked at anything else, to establish if it's a lost cause or not.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

I bought a 1976 CB360 new in the UK during my big OE.
Got me all over Europe without a problem. Not an exciting bike but sure did ok.
My mate had a 76 Triumph Bonny at the time which had all sort of problems. The Triumph factory were having problems at the time though, so it probably wasn't constructed very well.
I wouldn't mind having one now for a laugh.

CB360s? I like em, ive got one I fully restored, fun steady bikes. I will admit that my Street Triple is a wee bit faster (gets to 130 mph in seconds, or so Im told). The old CB is cooler and I rebuilt it too. Hello all. Bob.
find me a running CL350 or CL450 and I wil buy it. I will divert money from the project I am involved in to do it.
