A lot of m/c related tips here - http://www.dansmc.com/MC_repaircourse.htm
After being on tools all day the last thing I want to do is pick up a spanner on a weekend!
But if your not "in the trade" then this is a good way to learn about your bike, what to look for and what will need attention in a little while...
I will give mine a basic service (oil, filters, plugs, fork oil, chain, coolant...) but anything more involved and I'll drop it to a shop.
I might be a lazy basted but I'd prefer to be on it than under it!
Bike shop doesn’t mind taking my money off me either!
I just view it as a little holiday... I'm not working, I have to pay for the privilege but I come out of it a little more relaxed than if I did the job myself.
I keep the 2 cars and my son’s bike going so it’s not that slack! Know two guys who swap and do each others cars so they don’t have to work on there own!
Means I have more time to play on the weekends too!
We all have our little obsessions...
Bumpity bump!!
Goodness knows how this ended up in general ravings.
thanks bonez ... Betsy is gonna need a wee service before her two good trips in the next month ..still not that up with the play on motor stuff though .. must talk nicely to barry again
