    Today I

Today, I went for a ride and it was lovely. I do this every day.

    I own several motorbicycles.

I though we were all in need of motorcycle related discussion around here.
So, I find owning a bike makes me happier and more awesome.

Feel free to talk about motorcycles at any time, nobody will judge. (unless you have a shit bike, or something)

Heading off tomorrow with 3 mates for a relaxing 4 day tour of East Cape. Picking up Dad on the way through Tauranga. He's 70 and still loves coming out on his bike with us.

Be leaving as soon as George replaces my right fork seal, 3rd time it's gone since September.

First trip with the new Vance & Hines pipes on the bike.

Feel free to judge. At least I don't ride a Honda

I was just thinking this today: How much I enjoy all motorbikes... cruiser, sprotsbike, custom, DP (not that sort, dual purpose) vintage, whatever. I like riding them, looking at them, talking about them, reading about them etc.

I also am into the funky leather gear but that might be a post for a different forum....

My Street Triple goes really well. It needs some more farkles though. Maybe some stomp grips?

More than 200k between the two bikes I currently ride, oldest is an 05. I like riding

Lately it's been more non-motorised biking, re-gaining some fitness, but clearly

I rode to work at the Brisbane showgrounds today. Moto Expo Bike Show Launch Day.

I was the first 'Mee-dia' to arrive at the big dance (as usual - always allow set-up time).
By the time I had parked the KLR and taken my helmet off, Troy Bayliss walks straight up to me and says 'This is going to be fuckin' fantastic and Crumpy is looking forward to getting back on a bike out here' and we chatted all the way back into the infield.

Here's the motorbike stuff I made today:

Today (like every day) I rode my motorcycle. Gearing up and taking off for work is the best part of my day even if the actual trip only takes 15 minutes or so - it even turns going to the supermarket into a mini adventure.

I've loved every long trip I've gone on so far, even the ones that didn't go so well...they've all been worthwhile. Highlight so far: the desert road in winter, brilliantly fine, snow everywhere, freezing cold.

I've even met and interacted with some actual other people thru kiwibiker, which is unusual for me - thanks for that.

Recently bought a leather jacket, reminded me how much I miss wearing my old leather jacket which lasted a decade or so. It just feels right..."I love my leather jacket and I'm gonna wear it all the time (like a great big hug etc)". Otherwise I'd never be wearing one.

You'll be prying my motorcycle from my cold, dead hands.
Moe: Well, I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I...I can't compete with that stuff.

Today I... Looked at a potential bike to finish another mans project. I'm starting to collect bikes.

I've decided I want all of the bikes. I've realised I'm not Bruce Wayne. But I can polish panels until the engine starts working again.

I love my bike, but something must be wrong with it: Five out of seven days a week and sometimes even more it brings me to this horrible place where I have to sit inside and do other things than riding all day.

I've tried so many things to stop this: I leave in different directions; I tried to confuse my bike by going around roundabouts twice; and I switched off the headlight, so it doesn't know where it's going. Nothing helped so far. I'm afraid it will do the same thing again tomorrow. HELP!!!

My kids say I love my motorcycle more than I love them.

    It's not.
    You love them the same.

You just love what you get from things more than you love the things. This is why the order looks like this:

    - Bike
    - Kids

Unless your kids get you more bikes I don't see this changing. Riding on their back I think you would have hardly any fun at all.

Went for an awesome ride in the gravel up Mangapai Caves Rd last night on my Buell. Don,t think the rear had traction for about 13km! True story.
