have the police managed to do anything about the guy in the Hutt that has been mutilating animals? That really gets to me, cruelty to animals really shows how sick humans can be.

I can add to the dont get involved debate ...Now in the past I have got involved ,,have done If I sww things that I dont like to see happening ,,

But one night I was walking home with my friend when we heard a scream and about 50 yards in front of me a man ran across the street into a old bit of ground ,,then a young appeared after ,,shouting in Japanese ,,,,,

Now in possibly the time it takes to read this post ..poss a bit longer the man suddenly appeared to my left and was sprinting past me ...,,,, and I thought do I or dont I ...Bang it was to late ,,the man was past me and gone ,,,( It happened that quick,,)

I always thought that if I saw something ,,I woudnt hesitate ...but I did ..and felt /feel like a heel about it.,,One consolation is that it happened right next to a police station..so but the time I turned round the young girl had got the police ,,and they were onto it ,,,

As for the mongrels who kick puppys ,,,well you can always tell an organisation/society/person ..by the way it treats its weakest ...
Hey look how antisocial drinking and driving is ,,,,wonder if the same could be metered out to these drop kicks ..
( failing that ,,good ole fashioned hard labour ,,,Just watching the world at war ,,the rise of hitler ( weellll I have that in the bottom corner and crusty demons of dirt up the top corner !! ) well MR H gave the un employed MEN And WOMEN a shovel and a wheel barrow ,,and said built a bloody big road .........Now thats an Idea ,,,,,

My mom was the same... back home in Zim, a neighbor used to abuse his dog (a labrador [sp]) and the poor thing used to cry and we could see over the fence, the dog cowering and yelping while tied up with this booting the dog for no reason pretty much on a daily basis...

So we stole the dog (the SPCA is a joke in Zimbabwe)... and gave it to friends... Buddy was his name, or what our friends named him anyway, he was a kewl dog...

And this happened on a regular basis... at one stage we had like 10 dogs because we couldn't get rid of them quick enough after rescuing them... this one time my mom went to a collegues place during thier lunch break, and as they drove into the driveway the lady's boyfriend was pouring hot water out the kettle onto a puppy to "bath" it... and you lot think I have a bad temper... my mom was WAY worse, she took the puppy right then and there and left, we had to have it put down though

In NZ I havn't seen with my own eyes someone abusing thier animals, but if I did I wouldn't stand by and watch... if they seemed likely to hurt me in the process of me trying to help the animal I'd be calling the cops and making sure they knew what I was doing...

The only thing I've seen here that disturbed me... was our neighbors at our last place had two dogs, and the white one had a habit of biting people... playfully... but it still hurt, so they kept him chained up, and on the way home from work I saw the dog running up the road, with thier other dog following it... and the white dog (about 2km from home) was dragging a chain about 5m+ long along the road... so I stopped my bike, called the little bastard, grabbed his chain (he then bite me...) and walked all the way home with the two dogs in my bike gear, tied his chain to our gate, went and got my bike and went home... took the dogs and put them in our back yard and waited, the owners got home, and about 2 hours later came over and asked if we had seen thier dogs... and I replied with "well actually..." lol

The white one ended up being put down because some other people up the orad complained that it bite thier kid... and thats the same kid who used to throw stones at the dogs and who used to steal our mail... little bastard deserved it
I'm not a complete idiot... some pieces are missing

events overtook you ... sounds like the abuse was over before you could have reacted anyway-bit different from seeing it happening right in front of you ...... no point in continuing to beat yourself up about it

    I hate animal cruelty.
I always have and always will! There was one occasion (I dont like admitting violence but) a few weeks back where I was helping a friend move into his new house and I heard a yowl from a cat. You know the yowl that a cats gives when its frightened or injured, anyway. I had enough time to look over the fence at this 16 or 17 year old spraying fly spray onto a cat that was tied to the fence. Was disturbed me more was I noticed a lighter next to him too and it didnt take me more than a millisecond to react.

As I said Im not a violent person but the hairs on my back are raised when I see bullying on any creature that cannot stick up for himself and what I saw caused me to jump over the fence (Not a bad move either but most of it I cant remember I was that angry, Im relating what my mate said he saw me do) and kick this arsehole fair and square in the middle of his back. It wasnt a love tap either so it must have hurt but before my friend got to me to drag me off I had managed to break 2 fingers and a tooth trying to spray fly spray into this fuckwits mouth.

He did threaten legal action which I threatened right back but luckily we have the poor cat at home now. I just wish that it wasn't illegal to do what I did and really beat the shit out of scum-bags.

Children, dont do this at home
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

While not being a fan of the random violence- aww , who the f^&k am I trying to kid, he bloody well deserved it, and I for one am glad to stand up and say he got exactly what he deserved, and I wish it happened more often. PC tree huggers be damned

Sniper, if there is ever anything I can do for you, just ask.
People like this need to be put out of our misery!

Sniper, choice move, I bet THAT 'tard will be looking over his shoulder every time he does something like that! (which after his fingers heal will sadly be too often).

My husband reckons a repeat visit every year to harm something he cherishes would be a good idea. Maybe scratch the paintwork on his prized car, or slash a few tyres, and leave a card "love from the cat" would make him think twice about doing this kind of shit again!

Good on you Sniper, I would be the first to stand there cheering while someone took action like this.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
