    Giant loop Great Basin Bag

    Hi All

Is anyone using the Giant loop Great Basin bag, if so what do you think of it, rate it or slate it.

Or is there any other brands to consider

    Any help appreciated
    Cheers Paul

I have got the Giant Loop Coyote - it is awesome - think Kenny got same sort of thing ex Aus for fraction of price (rear motorcycle banana bag if ya wanna google it) - if you want to grab mine for a look - or take it away for a test drop me a PM

    Crim or Kenny,
Curious to see how Kennys banana bag stood up to the Dusty giving it's only a fraction of the cost of the Coyote version..your thoughts plse gentlemen

I've just recently bought this bag. Should have bought one years ago. Got mine for $500 expensive but well worth it. No complaints

Cool thanks for the info, I looked at the Giant loop and it appears to drop further down the bike which would be better for weight, Is the third gear water proof?

Is really good - can't say enough about it - expensive bit of kit but I reckon it will be the last one I buy (swap between bikes as opposed to start over every time)

it comes with a waterproof cover in a zip at the front,i had already packed my stuff in plastic bags out of habit....rode to the dusty in that fucking awful rain and sleet and when I got there it was everything was dry as a bone on the inside of the bag...for a hundy you can buy a new one evry year for five years as opposed to the giant loop....I,m Scottish so that swayed me lol...

I have the original Giant Loop Great Basin and a Mojavi tank bag. Great combination.

The outer shell is not waterproof. I just put things inside in drysacks, problem solved.

I pack the following in my GL:

    - sleeping bag
    - tools / chain lube / parts
    - clothes / thermal layer
    - toiletries / first aid kit
    - cooker / food

I then strap an Ortleib 30L drybag on top, and use that for my waterproofs / gloves / sleeping pad / tent. It all works pretty well.

I pack the heavy stuff down low but even so I do find my setup carries the weight higher than I would like - Ive been thinking about some kind of saddlebag to go with the GL instead of a top bag. Anyone else with this issue?

That was one of my concerns is the high up weight, would be nice if the legs were longer and the top lower. Oh for the perfect bag
