    Boom crash bang

im surprised this moan thread hasnt been started.
The avalon school 'safety' ad on radio.

    1) "wear bright coloured clothes and a safety light"
    translate: hiviz propoganda.

2)"if an accident happens to you"
translate: if an inattentive fuckwit collects you.

This is what the next generation is being taught by the evil corporation of dark shadowy figures.

No helmet no brain (no helmet no brain).

No worse than letting children go to church. Also children are dumb. Like really dumb. Without safety gear and hivis they probably would lose their brain. Did I mention children are dumb?

I had a friend in high school who didn't know how to cross a road. She would walk straight onto the road without even a glance at traffic. The only reason she wasn't run over was her best friend would put her arm out and hold her back ever time they crossed the road. If they weren't inseparable, she would be dead. Now imagine that genius on a push bike.

Kids can't really be expected to know from birth how dangerous a road really is and some parents aren't smart enough to teach this to their kids so I don't really mind the ad. Propaganda is the easiest way to mitigate the risk (nomatter how annoying)

I have noticed the only place that seems to have a permanent 40km/h zone in Christchurch is the university, which I think is stupid, any students there that can't yet safely cross a road surely have no place seeking higher education.
