This year no quads or side x sides.
That will keep the dust down.

Thank god, one of those things almost killed me last year (actually I tried to pass it and failed spectacularly), so yes!
Snipers alley and expert only trails are being opened again and better fueling arrangements, I can only hope for a bit of rain to get rid of the dust.

We did boundary buster in December and it was quite hard packed so when it rained it was like riding on ice.

Yep snipers is open and there are more trails off it so should be good unless it rains then they will probably close it.
Hopefully they have that big hill open again (not b52 up from river) as that was some good fun.

    Can't wait.

And on another note epic events have just put up their calender, ride every month.

Engineers or that neverending downhill thingy?

I'm not sure about either of those, we spent about an hour on engineers extracting amate who snapped a hamstring and pushing the medics quad up the bloody hill, almost killed me! The long downhill was truly terrifying, I was doing my best impersonation of someone that needed to change their underwear.

Was great fun (in the pub afterwards).

Looking forward to Snipers again, our last ride there was just as rain started (couple of years ago) and ice rink is about right, there were bikes sliding sideways everywhere and they are very hard to ride over.....

Look out for a bunch of elderly, worried looking individuals standing around saying "No, after you.."

They were both good but i was meaning the red trail that went along the gravel road past the LAV training area and up into the hills.

AHH... The hills of Waiouru. How well I remember being sent running up to the top of many. ( I did try ) It is so damn good to be able to trail ride them now. The first trail ride there it was a buzz to see we went over the top of THE TOTEM.
I even enjoyed hitting a square shaped hole that had not been filled properly, that nearly sent me over the bars, and I saved it. But as some of us know, square holes come in pairs , and bang, straight into the next one. saved that one too, (just!!). The best trail ride out. see ya there.. BBDA..

Anyone from Wellington got a spare place on a trailer for a (large) bike?
I've bought a BMW R100 and need to get it too Waiourou for Tussock buster, needs picking up in Wilton. Let me know if you can help, will contribute to gas costs etc.

    Cheers, Iain

I haven't bought a dirt bike yet...although am actively looking. If I manage to get something sorted this month, i would be keen to do this event.

Best TB in six years in my opinion. Couple of Tussock Buster loops (dusk mask required Friday), followed by Spur Buster on Saturday including B20, then Snipers on Sunday. She's a big country alright, and out the back not much traffic!! See you in 2015.

Yep, it just keeps getting better.

although never saw a sweep rider on the the spur buster and when a mates bike broke down it was 90 min before a sweep came though and they were picking up all the flags at the end of the day.
