    SDI unit for Yamaha XS650

    Hi, does anyone have or know where I can get an SDI unit for my bike please...

    SDI - Super Duper Ignition? Not on an XS.If we are talking about CDI,only the last of the XS650s had electronic ign,so they are thin on the ground.And yes,Motorcycle Graveyard,I don't think he has a lot left,but knows the guy who has.

    Just done a search of known suppliers and,BAD NEWS.
    Can't be got new an the popular replacement is the Boyer unit which comes with EVERYTHING costs $259.US

    Newtronics do a good eletronic ignition system , that uses optical pickups .

    I just got one for my 1973 RD350 , better starting and a nice fat spark as well as
    you will never have to adjust or preplace points again .

    A XS650 unit is 110 pounds

    my rd unit was 89 with 17 pound freight and got here in 5 days
