I pour oil from measuring jug through funnel, once I've got to the final level I leave it to drip into engine where it is and start putting away other tools etc or let it drip back into oil container.

    Too right.

    I bought something like this:

This is the page I found on changing the oil on my bike: http://www.thefairchilds.org/bikes/st-oilchange.html
I also cannot find an oil drain pan like the one they show, our choices seem so limited here!

I always find that there is another drop or 2 even after leaving it for an hour. This is a good thing, it means that the sides of my pistons probably are not completely dry when I start my bike in the morning.

I paid NZ$17 shipping for Techspec tank pads with NZ Post's Youshop service. That purchase was from Techspec directly but I've also used Revzilla for other stuff and found them good to deal with.

Well my grips arrived 7 days after ordering (including weekend). Great service and extremely prompt delivery. Cant say anything bad about them. Will use again and again.
