    AMA MX Nationals 2014

Starting in a couple of Weeks at Glen Helen,

RV's out for Knee surgery, so no defending Champ, so its up for Grabs,

    Contenders, 450

KTM, Dungey and Roczen, I would suggest Dungey would have to be favorite right now,
Suzuki, Stewart, how is his knee, looked ok at Vegas, should be ready to go, can he last out a season, he managed to finish his first SX season in about 5 years, Pieck and Tedesco get there chances on facotry backed 450's though RCH,
HOnda, Tomac and Hahn (when hes back) on Geico bikes, and Barcia and Canard on Factory ones,
Yamaha, can JGR get some form that Brayton showed early on,
Kawasaki, get Melcalf back from Canada to fill in for RV, and Weimer has looked pretty good in the last 2 races, and is Chad ready to go on the Two Two mahine,

    250,
Can anyone stop the PC Kawi team, Bagget and Wilson are both former title holders, best chanced i reckon are Musquin on the factroy KTM, and Osbourne on the Geico Honda, can Anderson, Seely and Bogle bring their form from Supercross and step up in the outdoors,

Sky has not shown the outdoors for a long time, and i doubt we will get it this year, but they normally have pretty good online highlight packages available,

    Scott

Really looking forward to this, with RV gone, it might actually make the racing even closer and more exciting from a spectator point of view, although at the same time, watching RV go nuts outdoor is incredible to watch, so kinda mixed emotions.

450's : IF Stewart can keep it on two wheels and his knee is all good, I think he has it, with RV out I think he has the field covered speed wise without having to go 10/10ths the whole time. Dungey will be right there as his usual Mr consistency. Roczen to show some flashes of brilliance like in SX this year, but not sure he can keep a whole season charge going. Would love to see Millsaps and Reed come back and show some of the speed they have, although not sure if either are back to full fitness yet, or plan to race there way back? Barcia and Canard will be right there as well, would love to see a full healthy season out of Canard and what he can achieve.

250's: Bagget, I really think he's going to smoke the field again, similar to what he did a few years back.

I think more Wilson, he smoked everyone incl Baggett to win the title a few years ago,

it would not surprise me to see some more PC podium sweeps, with Durham and Justin Hill being pretty good as well, before AC gets back even, (if he comes back at all this year)

I really like Wilson, but he just doesn't seem to have the consistency at the moment, the amount of times he does silly things and throws it away is crazy, kind of frustrating to follow. Is he a better outdoors rider than SX? Would rather see Wilson win over Baggett, as he's a real likeable character.

Hoping we can get the live streaming from Alisports again this year, always up early Sundays as my morning to get up early with the daughter, so works out well when its live.

Jealous of you guys going to the races.

The two events I'd love to attend over there is the Monster Energy Cup, and Red Bud.
Red Bud seems to be a pretty crazy weekend, would be epic to rock up to that with a camper and cut loose for the weekend!

450's : before Tomac crashed I would have said he might have a good chance BUT with him injured and Dunge and Roczen carrying some momentum in they should be good. You never know what Reed will bring to the table. If Stewart can get back into his Toronto mentality he'd be unstoppable but not sure if he can get there and keep it for pretty much the series.

250's: wouldn't count out Webb or JMart who were good in Supercross and podiumed at outdoors last year. Would pick Bagget over Wilson at the moment as Wilson seems to be plagued with that arm pump - if he sorts that out then who knows
Smoke 'em if you have 'em
