Damn... Well either the other traffic is going pretty quick or his speedo is massively over reading as some of the other cars are getting along alright too.

Looks like a C7 so would have a 4ltr bi turbo v8. Course it would piss all over the quakker.

That's a 700hp tuned RS6. Factory standard RS6 will bump over 300kph, a tuned one will easily go passed the 300kph mark.

It's a C6 so V10 TT. There is a longer clip somewhere on the interwebby. The C7 is an awesome machine too though...it sounds so damn grumpy with that crackling V8 haha.

There are a lot of cars in Germany and Austria capable of 300kph++, and drivers who will prove it. Driving at those speeds is something that takes a lot of training and/or practice.

We were in a Porsche 928 GT (de-cat, CS spec engine) heading east from Dortmund to Kassel, travelling at a GPS-indicated solid 180mph (290kph) when a 4-door Mercedes (W124 shape) cruised past, the driver giving us a cheeky wave as he did so. We saw him at the Schlosshotel a few minutes later - the car was a 7.2 Vath conversion capable of ~330kph (so he could give an RS6 a nasty shock, too).

True... The Merc was a ~50-60k Deutschmark conversion in the mid-90s; dunno what the RS6 runs to, but you could buy a garage full of bikes for the same price.

The whole bike vs car thing is pretty redundant though. Bang for buck, the bikes will almost always win, and rightly so. Doesn't mean either are superior...just different machines to do different things. I love my RS Audi and I also love motorcycles. There are things I would and wouldn't do on/in both of them. You don't screw a screw with a hammer do you...
