Dunno. No memory of what happened. I hit the crumple zone and because it's right at the front of the car, I pushed it sideways quite a bit. The bike was described by the medic as "embedded", although one of the officers managed to separate them ok when cleaning up.
I'm just fekkin lucky (this time), that's what. Promised the wife that I'd leave shopping for new vehicles at least a week. But I only "postponed" my CBTA for full licence. That was scheduled for next Tuesday.
Trust you to bring batteries into this thread.![]()
I'll hopefully chat to the roading contractors tomorrow. That should shed some more light on what actually happened, since they were about 20 feet away.
Glad you came out ok. That helmet was made like in the 90s yeah? Check the date inside but they should be replaced more regularly. 5yrs is common advice (just replaced mine and realised how old it was - like about 8 or 9). Time flies.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
You were wearing the same brand jacket as I do. Good to know it kept you in one piece. Actually all my gear from toe to neck is that brand. Hope I never have to product test it as you did.
Grow older but never grow up
You my friend, are a fucken sick cunt...
Not many people could walk away from that without atleast a few broken somethings.
You Sir are one lucky mother fucker!!!!
I've seen others die in less traumatic crashes....
Pleased you are still around to impart the lessons learnt![]()
now to bring in the cat biscuits, if he had been travelling 99km/hr slower (as some on here would have you believe is a safe speed) he would have been able to react and avoid this unfortunate series of events and swerve around this vehicle in a safe manner and avoid the risk of running his battery flat by leaving his bike with the light still on and there for not have the issue of whether or not it will buff out
on a side note, pleased you have walked away from this and make no excuses for the idiot driver of the car, best you get back out there and get another bike but this time buy some cat biscuits to go with it and that will keep you safe![]()
