I almost miss the days of 200kph wheelstand threads.
No offence, but what a stupid post OP. There was nothing insightful or new in there, and you used a lot of words to not say very much.
Steps to "grooming" (e.g. cleaning) your bike:
Step 1: Use common sense along with a bucket of soapy water.
Here's an actual useful tip - don't bother drying your bike with a chammy or MF towel, it's a nuisance. Use an air compressor and you can easily get water out of tight spots, between fairings, under gauges etc.
You car groom 9-5 and you don't know the 2 bucket system? Fuck is wrong with you!
This is how the pros do it.
Mmmm. Grooming.
Just ride through a car wash!
"Sorry Officer, umm.... my yellow power band got stuck wide open"
I always end up with big, black spots on the bottom of my rims after washing the GSXR, especially on the rear wheel. This is because after I've hosed the bike down, even if I dry it after, water still drips onto the wheels, which then pools up there, dries and leaves dark coloured water marks.
I don't like white rims. I'd prefer to have dark gray or black ones.
To the OP-fuck the haters-thanks for posting a helpful thread. To Smokie-sorry mate but white rims on a gsxr FTMFW! Best colour out there in my opinion!
Cheers, I have the same problem with my Black rims as we'll
