    RaceEvolution. Any good?

I was looking over the RaceEvolution website and the stuff on there look good but
they seem to be awfully cheap.
Has anyone bought any of their stuff ?? Is it any good ??

The fairings look like the cheap crappy ones that pour out of Asia.
I know of people who've bought the Asian ones and found they are shite and need
serious work to get em to fit.

    cheers

Let's get something straight, Chinese ebay fairings are just great. As long as you aren't an idiot and buy them from a semi reputable seller you can't go wrong. Back in the day there were a few complaints about particular sellers with melting and poor quality but they've come a long way and I've got no complaints.

Yes, you might have to do a little bit of adjusting here and there, but if you aren't a total idiot they'll be just fine. What's more is that they actually do last well. Raceevolution most likely orders them from a Chinese factory. Highly doubt they make them themselves, just a sales pitch.

On the bright side...they guarantee fitting...so I emailed them...for the price they were compared with the price on ebay should get a better set TBH!
You could try NZ made fairings www.justfairings.co.nz

I actually bought a new screen for the R6 not long ago off these guys.

Communication was good and the screen looked pretty good with a nice finish etc

But it did take two weeks and the holes where the screen mounts onto the bike were far too small for the grommets, but again nothing that a high speed drill couldn't fix.

Would i use them again? i dont think so. The screen cost me about $190, it took too long to get there and for that price i expected it to fit.

Speed was good, service good, I've got a full set here, however on the stock fairings there are quite a few places on mine where stuff mounts onto the inside of the fairings (side trim, radiator guard, rear lights). None of these points are there - I've talked to them and they've asked for photos of the problem bits.
Also, the two sides don't fit together at the lights (gap of about .5-1cm on one side, tabs not lining up/fitting in togeter), the hole for the seat lock is too small and those tabs don't line up, and the fairings are too thick to mount the lock on it anyway with the mount from the original fairings. For the price they are compared with what one could get ordering by yourself from ebay I woudln't recommend it.
Also I thought it would come with bolts or something for the mounting points they've replaced with normal holes for bolts/screws...haven't had a direct reply as to whether it was supposed to come with these (eg the windscreen will need a bolt kit as the stock ones are non-reusable)

However their custom paint job was nothing short of brilliant. Finish is excellent

So the verdict seems to be nice paint shame about the rest.
I dont want to fook about with mismatched bits and have to knock up brackets
to mount things that should fix onto the fairing.
The price is irrelevent, they are making a profit on the goods and they should fit
as decribed, if they dont then in my eyes they are shite.
cheers guys, dont think i'll bother.

    Thumbs up

id have to agree with colosan1 they are just cheap shit , you would be better of repairing your originals and spend the money on a decent paint job , if you were to buy them you may aswell get them of ebay as they will probably made in the same factory ,as for fixing ice maestros fairings I cant see how race evolution can its not like he can repair and repaint them or if he replaces them ice maestro will end up with the same issues as they wil be from the same moulds ,as for perfect fit speil what a joke take him up on his money back guarantee ice maestro

I dealt with these guys recently. The guys an indian and a clueless douche. The bike was in for insurance repairs after being backed into a fence *still crying over that one* He wanted payment upfront for the fairings which is just ridiculous.

So the guys at Street and Sport Triumph coughed up painfully knowing full well that this guy from a shit little upstart company could do a runner. He didn't tho and the fairings weren't bad at all apart from some misaligned letters and a paintdrip or two.

    Good bits:

NB: I still haven't had the tank painted to match >_<

Huh, wow so you had a bit of the opposite, yours look like they fit miles better than mine, my tabs that are supposed to go underneath seriously line up with the next panel! And my paint is great, no drips at all..
Yeah tbh I'm hoping for a refund, I don't see how they can fix all the tabs, when some don't even line up - would involve plastic welding etc which I ain't putting up with, not for this price.

Has anyone tried tyga's fairings? Do they fit together as well as stock ones?

Well i've never fitted Tyga fairings but I hear great things about them ie "Their quality far surpasses all others"etc. Note that you can completely restyle your bikes with their kits too. i was going to go with the Tyga fairings but the insurance company wouldn't allow it. Too expensive vs the option I had already presented to them.

And yea I did have a bit of the opposite. Trying to broadcast to the guy wtf i wanted was a near 3 week long nightmare. All mount point's match up perfectly.

Good luck with getting a refund. You're gonna need it.
