A rigid framed Triumph Thunderbird or similar died to make that.

Same goes for the bloke! Benhall is assuming it is his Dad?
With that front brake, he would have trouble stopping anywhere long enough for a root!

A rigid Triumph, cast iron head so either a Thunderbird (650) or Speedtwin (500) , hard to tell without looking at the barrel flange. The forks have extended stanchions, and the frame has been raked to keep it level. It has a sprung hub, but the rear frame has also been extended, the rear wheel should be right up behind the gearbox. Would've been pretty cool at the time.

8-10 inch over front end. Spool hub (no brake) - can't remember the correct name for that bend of bar (it had one). Sissy bar. Single 'Bates' headlight. If period correct it should have had a Maltese cross or coffin shaped tail light.

    Bitching stuff.

It is probably fair that he is unsure, after all Triumphs and their riders back then leaked a lot of fluids.

Six bends. You could make cheap 6 bends out of a supermarket trolley....well, free 6 bends, you don't pay money for supermarket trolley's.
