mate of mine elliot, its a black//grey scheme cbr, totally fucked fairings and indicators all round, 1 entirely missing from front, no casing on one on the back, but for $1500 i wasnt really considering the possibility of it going to cost me, tedious more than anything, i hope i get off the no wof and no reg, part from that its just a first hand lesson on how cheeky the fuckers really are. and how they just DONT fucking care about handing over $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ fines

if you're taking it for a test ride and it's not your bike, then you can't be charged for a vehicle that isn't yours.. you will get done for speeding, and you could contest the lack of L plate, since you were just goin round the block..

It's ridiculous how he was able to get you just before the 100k zone, soon they'll have speed cameras hidden behind 50k signs

YES THEY DO, its just the gear cam drive, all gear driven cam bikes make it, sounds cool. Price isnt too bad, 45000kms is pretty low kms for a cbr, they last over 100000 easily if taken care of. $1500 isnt too bad so long as it is in good nick.

I'd say $1500 is pretty good for a 250, you'll pretty much be assured not to loose much/any money when you go to trade it latter on. Fairings however, are very expensive!! Maybe check out some wreckers and see what they have and how much, if you want to recloth the mighty cbr.

I know that bike mate. You are going to be spending over $1200 in getting it legal and that bike running sweet. It absolutely screwed. My advice. DONT BUY IT!!!!

Almost all the cbr's do the whirring sound.. it happens real bad when you ride the clutch (eg starting off in a slow corner/turning out) and they whine like little bees... drives me nuts. Can't say much for zxr cam-chain rattle though

I think that it is a case of 'User beware'. Owner would be charged if done by a parking warden, otherwise it is the rider that gets it.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Ditto.

My advice - you should have test ridden a faster bike and this would all be academic
