What do you need to know?
Wife owned one for a few years, damn good bike, still going strong and letting another lady rider enjoy the road.
They don't break down too often and they're not to hard to work on.

Take your speedo cable to your local motorcycle mechanic, if he can't make you a new inner cable he aint a motorcycle mechanic, approx 1/2 to 1/3rd the price of a new one from the authorised dealer.
No the 75 K's is not a gamer breaker, but do make sure it has good clean oil and has no nasty grumbles from , engine,or gearbag.
Again it pays to know a good older motorcycle mechanic that has worked on these, they do know what to expect and how to maintain them.
Ol Willythekid might be able to help you with a CHCH Based mec an eic!

Paid $35.00 for a new inner clutch cable form Papakura Motorcycles up here in Sarf Dorkland last week.Reckon a speedo cable might be a tad more, due to differing ends etc but should easily get change outa a hundy.
Look up Willy, he'll be able to point you in the right direction, he's seen the wife's ol 400 NV Custom ( Pics only of course) and knows what can be done.

Paid 2.5 K for her in doors one about 4 years ago with 78000 K on the clock, so anywhere between 1.5 and 2 would be about right, they are/were a Japanese home market bike , so not too many of em about here, the bros 400's, the NT 4's and 500 and some others have a few parts that are interchangeable.

I have a running one and a spare parts one if you get stuck. Watch out for the cylinder head bolts. Easy to over-tighten and damage the thread and then you have a water leak.

Nice bike to ride. And not too tricky to work on.

I borrowed one of a mate. Was his ex courier bike. For the money exceptional. But do bear in mind that was 25 years ago. It's a risk no two ways about it. Honda camchain tensioners are crap so watch for rattles in that area.
Don't you look at my accountant.
