Unhappy Stolen Honda CD250U from Wellington

Not sure this is right place to post this, but this afternoon, some pillar of society stole my bike, Rosie, from Wellington Central on the corner of Panama Street and Featherston Street. She's quite a distinctive lady, she has a custom paint job with Rosie stenciled on her fuel tank.

    Her rego is A5MZB

If anyone sees her, please call the Police!

pity, hope it turns up and karma kicks the arse of the thief.

What security was being used at the time?

Unfortunately none really. Thought parking in a motorcycle park in front of a bunch of shops would be security enough. Won't make that mistake again.

Do you guys think I stand any chance of ever getting her back? She has a ton of sentimental value

Also feel your pain, looks like a beaut wee bike. Don't understand how the whole stolen property thing works or how they get much money out of it - yours would be hard to move on without a respray I would have thought? Hope you do get it back anyway.

Hey, maybe it was stolen by an a'hole from Auckland wearing a Caberg Tourmax helmet...

Chances are it was a joy ride, so may be sitting in a ditch somewhere scratched up a bit but repairable.

I'm not sure how many 250 commuters get stolen for chop shops, got to think the parts are pretty cheap so aren't in high demand. So it would have been an opportunistic thief rather than someone out to steal for profit.

I've never been a thief or anything but that's what I imagine they would steal a 250 for, either joy ride or parts. Not often stolen vehicles get driven/ridden around. So they would either strip it for parts for cash, or ditch it.

Bugger I was walking through town the other day and stopped to admire her,
Is there any CCTV in the vicinity or have you asked WCC for footage from their traffic signal cameras?

Will keep a keen eye out.
