    Recent BD stuff

With Indian launched in NZ now here's some riding impressions on a Chieftain and Chief Classic models.
(The full test of the Chieftain is in an upcoming Kiwi Rider.)

Just some visuals of the Classic:

Also coming up in Kiwi Rider is a test on the H-D Ultra Classic:

Here's a nice V-Rod for Heavy Duty - the magazine and the bike shop.

I've also been doing Time Lapses of the recent test bikes. Building the collection on my blog here:

And lately I've been working with Mark Hinchliffe on www.motorbikewriter.tv
Here's a playlist with a heap of different bikes and events:

Edit - For some reason it doesn't work when I embed it. Works in post preview and not when I save it.
    Here's the link:

Here's some of the recent bikes - vids work individually:

I've submitted a Zero Electric test to Kiwi Rider too.

That Beond bike is a hideous monstrosity. Kill it with fire.

    The cheque from You Tube.

Favourite bikes lately are the Indian Chief Classic and the Harley Ultra Classic.

Sure did. And it seems contrary to most interweb haters I liked it.
They still have some issues with range as far as a replacement for your fossil fueled Dual Sport goes, but they have reached the point of viability as a commuter and even for escaping the city for a few hours.

Seems commuting is where they are ideal. Was interesting that in the video, it starts off at a gas station where it will never need to go but the reality is this is it's biggest downside. If only you could pull in and just replenish the powere source! A minimum 3.5 hrs charge severely limits its usability. Wonder if they will get mainstream and have a replacable cell setup. Like they have with gas bottles? Oh well, hope I live long enough to find out!

    True.

Zero claim 1c per KM - and riding on past the servos has a certain attraction.

Tyres, brakes and belt are pretty much the only serviceable items. They are close to maintenance free - and the torque of the motor is joyous.

And Yeah - I think 'power stations' with battery quick-exchanges will be the way it will go. And it won't be that long.

Some new Vlog stuff. The graphics on the vids are designed to work on this page: http://www.davidcohen.co/video.html

    Or here they are embedded:

Getting back on a Triumph was very nice. Some NZ quality roads at the end of the vid too.

Couple of similar but quite different Victory Bikes.

My Hinterland bike test routes are similar to NZ conditions in parts - with better surfaces.

    Fun abounded.

Was it worth going into town to bank??? Heard ad revenue is only one cent per thousand views or something??? I refuse to subject my viewers to ads for pennies in return...
