    Post script.....
That was a bloody good weekend's riding with good company. A bit wierd ridding with other people at first, but not unpleasant must do it again sometime.
Thanks to RMoto for some of the pics, a lot of mine were pretty shabby, and for the nav expertise.
I also have new indicators Not something I want to replace again in a hurry, typical BMW pricing
And thanks to the good buggers at MotoMox a nice shiney new headlight guard. Like to see the West Coast bush try ripping that bad boy off
And I'm still picking gorse out of nooks and crannys on the bike despite a good going over with compressed air and a thorough cleaning

Not sure yet I.m thinking of heading to Fonganui for the boxing day races, but I need to gather lots more brownie points for that, ...or just go, then ask for forgiveness
One things for sure though, your being enlisted as chief navigator

Also, Puddytats effort in the river and then undrowning the bike got me thinking ( ) ...
How easy is it to clear the water from a GS ?
I couldn't find much on youtube but it looks like an awfull lot of work to get to the spark plugs and then there's a special tool to remove the spark plug leads, more crap to carry
    Here's a wee vid I found

I don't think I want to put it in a river Maybe I should get a Ural sidecar and not worry about it

They pull that off and carry it over the river first just to be safe

The modified intake for those bikes is in the chair of the Ural. You can see a flexi accordion pipe going across in one shot
